Rev. and Mrs. Mark Cottrill
Pastor Cottrill has been involved in teaching Bible studies and youth leadership since he was 13 yrs. Old. Sis. Cottrill has been teaching Sunday School since she was 12. They met at Apostolic Bible Institute, St. Paul, MN, where they both served as class officers. Having married in June of 1973 and after graduating in April of 1976, they moved to Bourbon, IN to be the assistant pastor, youth leaders and teen class teachers for more than three years. During this time, the church added on a 3 floor educational wing and evangelist/missionary apartment along with extensive remodeling of the church sanctuary built in 1925. They pioneered a church in Bucyrus, Ohio beginning in January of 1980 and the church grew to more than 60 people over the next 5 years.
Bro. Cottrill never lost his burden for revival in Bourbon so in January 1985, they moved back to Indiana. The church has doubled in attendance over the last 22 yrs. And has seen many notable miracles take place. More than 7 couples have gone forth from the Bourbon Church since 1985 into foreign missions work, church planting and children's evangelism. Bro. Cottrill's vision for revival sparked the planning for the new building. After purchasing 4 adjoining properties; the church broke ground on July 15, 2001 to build a new auditorium, additional bathrooms, nursery and offices in just under 10,000 sq. ft. After much financial sacrifice and hard work by the congregation, we now have a new facility that will easily seat over 350 on the floor and platform.
The Pentecostals of Bourbon have a desire to see souls saved and have a love for the Word of God. We believe in worshipping the Lord in holiness as well as in truth. There truly is “Room in Our Family for Yours”.
